How it works together
Solar charges Powerwall during the day; Powerwall backs up the home when the grid goes down. With the appropriate backup equipment, stored energy and solar production, the system can also keep charging the car during an outage. We review the loads you want to support instead of promising unlimited backup or charging in every condition.
Wall Connector charges the car, while PowerShare lets a compatible Cybertruck power the home through the required home backup equipment. These are related but different electrical functions. The Tesla app manages the compatible equipment; a charger alone does not turn a house into a backup system.
Eligible Powerwall owners on AEP Texas lines can also look at Tesla Electric. Eligibility and the current plan are Tesla's decisions, separate from an installation quote. Tell us what is already installed and what you want to add so we can review the electrical system as a whole.

RGV Solar Electric LLC is a licensed Texas electrical contractor, TECL #37418. We are a Tesla Certified Installer—the only one based in the Rio Grande Valley—and hold SolarEdge, Enphase and FranklinWH certifications. We have serviced and installed more than 400 systems.

Certification is a useful credential, not a substitute for a site review. The proposal should identify equipment, required electrical work, permits, utility coordination and responsibility for commissioning. For a Supercharger site, we work alongside Tesla's project engineer; Tesla supplies the system and handles commissioning and network operations.
